Taking Flight Again

After spending a few days with Pilot Christian and his family, we're off to IL where we will meet yet another pilot, Pilot John. He will be taking me to meet IBR's Founder and President, Lisa. Boy, I must be pretty special if I'm going to meet the President! I will stay in IL for a while, then off again to my foster home in Iowa. Thanks Pilot Christian for letting me stay with your family.
Thanks Pilot John

How Many Frequent Flyers Miles Do I Get?

Boy, was this a trip of a life time. So many wonderful people helped me to get to a safe place and a second chance. I don't even know where to start to tell you about my trip.

So many different pilots who own their own planes from PilotsNPaws helped me get to Iowa, where my foster home will be. My shelter volunteer, Sonya was so nice and helped me get ready for my flight. My first pilot, Jon flew from Alabama to Georgia to pick me up. From there we flew to Indiana to meet pilot Christian. Not only was he my pilot, but I got to stay at his house for 5 days! Unbelievable what these people will do for a dog they don't even know. WOW!

Then we leave Indiana to head to southern Illinois to meet yet another pilot, Allan. He's taking me to northern Illinois where I will be met by an Illinois Birddog volunteer. After about a week or so, I will once again take flight with PilotsNPaws and head to Iowa. Pilot Chris has offered to take me on this final leg to my foster home.

None of this could of been possible without the many hours and phone calls made by yet another IBR volunteer, Michelle Davis who coordinated all of this. What a special lady, as well as all the pilots I have to thank for donating their time and expenses to someone they don't know. Pilot Jon
Co-pilot is Jon's wife Patrice

You want me to do what? Go in there?
This is pilot Christian and his wife Regina and their dog, Sheila.
I've had a chance to meet some really nice people along the way. And I really enjoyed the attention I got from everyone. I wasn't afraid at all. Pilot Jon says, "he was great with the small children who were there at the airport at the same time as us--he let them approach and pet him repeatedly and he really seemed to enjoy it."
